I am so very excited to announce that this Friday and Saturday, I'll be participating in a Super Cool Pop-Up shop.  I'll be joining some amazing SpringBoard alumni for the Main Street Merry Market.  The Market will be held at 1329 Main St. in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati.   This event will be IN DOORS...

The Merry Market will run this Friday (Final Friday) 6-9 pm and Saturday (Small Business Saturday) 11am - 4pm. 

I've been a busy-bee creating new products to debut at the Main Street Merry Market....!

I hope you've all had a great start to 2013, I've been keeping myself busy.  Yep, creating all kinds of wonderful new goodness to be available this Spring.  Also, I'm packing up some great vintage items and dropping them off to a store tomorrow.  In the next few days, I will be adding a new section to the site that will list the physical stores that carry my stuff...exciting, I know!

Hello.

It’s been a long time.  I have some super exciting news and a whole lot of show dates for this summer/fall.  Hold onto your hats!!

It’s City Flea time again…my most favorite time of the year.  Talk about a really well put together show! And my mouth is watering thinking about all the delish things to eat.  I’ve been a busy little bee, and have some wonderful new creations that will be for sale Saturday.  For more information regarding the City Flea and for some other good reading hit up their site.  Here

More awesomely exciting news:  I will have a piece that will be exhibited and put up for auction at the Cincinnati Museum Center on June 21 from 6-9.

Over Spring Break, my son and I went to the Pompeii Exhibit already knowing that there was a Juried Art Show associated with the exhibit.  We were up for the challenge.  Originally, we expected to make full body casts of ourselves for the submission pieces.  I even went ahead and purchased 50 pounds of casting supplies before actually seeing the exhibit.  Well, I definitely was in for a surprise when going through the exhibit and seeing all of the beautiful art work that has survived such tragedy. It was apparent almost instantly that I was going to scratch the full body cast and go another route for my submission piece.  The works were complete…they submissions were in…just had to wait for the list of the top 25 pieces to be announced.  It was really no surprise to me that my son’s piece “Bird” was accepted.  I was so proud.  So very proud to have  his work selected and grouped together with such other talented artists. Just. So. Proud.

Shortly after done celebrating with my son, I look in my email … “Hi Tracy- thank you for submitting your piece to the Pompeii Art Show. Congratulations, your piece Artifact has been chosen in the top 25 and will be on display during the show on Thursday, June 21 at Cincinnati Museum Center!”

Wow o wow, cloud 9- here I come. 

If you have not seen the A Day in Pompeii exhibit yet…do it.!  Better yet, come out on June 21^st enjoy a beverage, appetizers, good art and walk through the exhibit.  I cannot wait to see the other 23 pieces of art and walk through the exhibit again.  Both mine, Max’s and the other 23 pieces of art will be in the silent auction.  All the pieces at the show will be voted on by the guests for the “best of show”  The top three best of show works will be made into limited-edition posters that will be signed by the artists and sold in the Museum Center gift shop.  This all has just been such an exciting adventure.

Winter Time....

As much as this saddens me to say... I won't be doing any shows on Saturday or Sunday this winter season.  You are looking at the coach for my son's basketball team, and since most of the games fall on weekend days, that's what I'll be busy doing.

On the other hand, in the evenings I can be mobile...call me with your ideas....

I hope you are enjoying every single day, I know I am.

--eloped -- moved --  made cards with kids at children's hosptial --had a booth at the crafty super market --worked on getting my house ready to sell  --made stuff --been on the hunt for some awesome items to re-purpose..(and just to let you know...I've totally scored)  --still haven't sold my house --had a semi-successful garage sale --made more stuff --and you get the drift....

and a bunch of new cards...(which i've yet to take pictures of)

With it being that March is coming to an end..I thought it would be a great idea to make a plan for 2010.

I’ve decided to pick a few key shows to do this year, and spend the rest of my time building up my etsy site, and working on a few other projects.

I don’t think that I’ll be doing the Hyde Park show this year due to a wedding that falls on the same weekend.

– Although I did pick 3 really great shows to do. Once I get confirmation, I will most certainly post the information.

Of course there is The Card of the Month Club to keep me busy as well. Every month I pick some sort of “inspiration” to repurpose into that months cards.

The cards are each designed, created, packaged then mailed to the card members in the first or second week of every month. Members get to enjoy one of a kind cards delivered to their doorsteps monthly…exciting

I have been playing with my gocco, and I'm pleased on how *most of the cards turned out.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Hyde Park art show last Sunday. We had a beautiful day and the show was a blast. Here is a pic of my booth before the show sans me, because I was taking it. Sorry for the quality, I only had my Blackberry with me.

I’m going to devote some time this weekend to take pics for Etsy. So stay tuned for that next week.

Also, please don’t forget that I take custom orders. I’ll try to dig up some examples of custom made cards to post.
